CJ's is a treasure right down Highway 77 in Woodville where you will find wonderful barbeque and delicious down home fare. Prices are certainly reasonable and diners are able to eat indoors or on the porch, or they may choose to order take out meals. Homemade desserts are also available. Everything we ate was fantastic and we definitely plan to return to sample more dishes.

This is the best place to eat in my opinion. When I’m in woodville I always eat here . When camping close by I make sure I eat there twice in one day. Ms. Jackson and Mr. Nick are the kindest, sweetest, friendliest people you will ever meet. I’ve even drove an hour and half to come here and eat. Everything is good but I especially love the double cheeseburger plate. This is my happy place to unwind and enjoy the food and fellowship. You have to try the collard greens also. I love these people and love eating there. If you drive by you’re missing a blessing! If I could figure out how to show pictures I would. You will leave full for sure

Look, in my 39 years on this earth, and living in the south, I’ve had a lot of bbq. This was some of the best I’ve had in years. Moist and smoky. My super picky eater son had a cheeseburger n loved it, and it was flavorful as well. Felt more like you walked into that one uncle’s house who’s always grilling for the family, and your sweet granny’s there handing out the loaded plates. I will definitely be stopping by every time I can!

An impromptu stop on my NY to FL motorcycle trip landed me here in this unassuming down home spot. It ended up being the best meal of the trip. The leg & thigh was unbelievable. Thinking about the smokey bark combined with the still ultra juicy meat has my mouth watering as I type. This family owned and operated business is what we need more of and who I choose to support. They're doing it up right. Super nice folks. If I'm driving within 100 miles of this place. I'm taking a detour to CJ's

All I can say is if you're ever down that way... STOP!!! Good bbq and some good home-cooked food by some friendly ladies!! I had the ribs (which were tender with a good bbq flavor) with mac n cheese and stew. I also ordered a pulled pork sandwich, thinking it was small. I was totally wrong!! You get a full-sized sandwich with a nice size portion of some good, juicy pulled pork!! My hubby went with chicken, black-eyed peas and fried squash with onions. Just some good eating (Did I say good again???) Oh, and we got 2 slices of homemade cake to go!!!

When I think of southern food, this place was as if it was created from my envision. The owners, seen in the photo, same thing. It was like going back in time. Everything was basic and simple, the first time I ever asked to get a picture with the owner of a restaurant. Need I say the food was just as I imagined it would be. So happy I stopped here.

Excellent food, authentic people, and a real old school vibe. Everything on the menu is worth trying. Centuries old recipes come alive at this remnant of a thriving town. Its a great area to explore, and yes, I believe the sweet potato pie is one of the best anywhere. Its actually worth the visit just for that creamy, lemony, perfect goodness!!!
